Whether it is metal cutting tools (such as high-speed steel milling cutters, hard alloy drill bits) or automotive components (such as engine valves, gearbox gears), after depositing chromium nitride coating, the surface hardness can be increased to HV 1800-2200 (much higher than the HV 600-800 of traditional quenched steel), and the wear resistance can be improved by 3-5 times, which can effectively reduce tool edge wear and extend the service life of components.
In the field of hard alloys and ceramics
1.Hard alloyss: Adding 5% -15% chromium nitride to WC Co alloy can significantly improve its resistance to crescent wear and increase its oxidation resistance temperature, making it more suitable for high-speed cutting of difficult to machine materials such as stainless steel and heat-resistant steel.
