Cerium oxide

Product Character Cerium oxide is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula CeO2, which is a pale yellow or yellow brown powder. Density 7.13g/cm3, melting point 2397 ℃, insoluble in water and alkali, slightly soluble in acid. At a temperature of 2000 ℃ and a pressure of 15MPa, cerium oxide can be reduced by hydrogen to obtain cerium trioxide. When the temperature is free between 2000 ℃ and the pressure is free at 5MPa, cerium oxide appears slightly yellow, slightly red, and pink. Its properties include polishing materials, catalysts, catalyst carriers (additives), ultraviolet absorbers, fuel cell electrolytes, automotive exhaust absorbers, electronic ceramics, etc.   2.Specification Cerium oxide

• Polishing material:Cerium oxide polishing powder is widely used in glass polishing, with the advantages of strong cutting force, short polishing time, long service life, and high polishing accuracy. ‌ Cerium oxide has also been widely used in surface processing of microelectronic and optical components. ‌
• Industrial use: As a glass decolorizer, it has the advantages of stable high-temperature performance, low cost, and non absorption of visible light. ‌ Used as a glass clarifying agent, it can remove bubbles and trace colored elements with significant effects. Adding it to daily glass can reduce the transmittance of ultraviolet rays.
• Catalyst and carrier: Cerium dioxide is the most active oxide catalyst in the rare earth oxide series, with unique oxygen storage and release functions. ‌ Can be used as an additive to improve the catalytic performance of catalysts.
• UV absorber: In high-end cosmetics, composite materials coated with nano CeO ₂ and SiO ₂ surfaces are used as the main UV absorbing materials. Add it to the polymer to produce anti UV aging fibers, which have excellent UV shielding and thermal radiation shielding rates.
• Other uses: Used as fuel cell electrolyte. ‌ Used as a car exhaust absorbent. Used for electronic ceramics.
