Chromium boron products have demonstrated irreplaceable application value in industrial protection, high-end manufacturing, and extreme environments due to their high hardness, excellent wear resistance, strong corrosion resistance, and high temperature stability. Their core application scenarios can be divided into the following categories based on material form and functional requirements
Surface protection field
1.Strengthening of mechanical transmission components:For wear prone components such as gears, bearings, and rollers, chromium boron coatings can be prepared using plasma cladding, laser cladding, or thermal spraying techniques, which can increase the surface hardness to HV 2500 or higher and improve wear resistance by 5-8 times compared to untreated components.
2.Chemical equipment anti-corrosion protection:Chromium boron compounds (such as CrB ₂) have excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance, especially outstanding stability against highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
3.Mold surface strengthening:Chromium boron coating can be customized and optimized to meet the different needs of cold and hot work molds

1.Modification of cutting tools:Adding 5% -10% CrB ₂ to high-speed steel or hard alloy cutting tools can significantly improve their red hardness
